The trunk is single or multi-stemmed, often branching from the base, forming a conical or pyramid crown. The beaches are spreading or ascending, occasionally rooting and forming new trunks.

Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery. Thuja occidentalis 'Danica' is a slow-growing, evergreen, dwarf coniferous shrub forming a dense, globose bush of bright green upright sprays of foliage, tinged bronze in winter.
