Native to Japan where they are revered as the national tree. Cryptomeria Japonica are large evergreen trees with attractive red-brown bark and dense foliage consisting of short awl-shaped leaves arranged spirally around the branchlets; cones are spherical.
Details
Cryptomeria japonica ‘Bicton Broom’ is a slow growing Japanese cedar with compact bright green foliage and branches, with a dense round habit. Looks great in a pot or planted in the garden. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
Soil Type: Normal, heavy clay, light sandy, chalk, loam.
