Cedrus is a genus of coniferous trees in the plant family Pinaceae. They are native to the mountains of the western Himalayas and the Mediterranean region, occurring at altitudes of 1,500–3,200m in the Himalayas and 1,000–2,200m in the Mediterranean. These large evergreen trees have needle-like leaves arranged spirally on young shoots, and in whorls on short spur-like side-shoots; ovoid cones break up to release the seeds while still attached to the tree.

Details
Cedrus atlantica ‘Aurea’ is a large, rather slow-growing conifer developing a broadly conical outline with age. The young bright golden yellow foliage becomes greenish-yellow as it ages. A wonderful tree that’s brings colour to the garden all year round. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
