Larches are among the dominant plants in the boreal forests of Siberia and Canada. Although they are conifers, larches are deciduous trees that lose their needles in the autumn.

Larix decidua 'Lucek' is a unique Larch. The new growth emerges a light yellow-green in early Spring turning to gold by late Spring and then green by mid summer. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
