Abies are evergreen conifers, widespread in Asia, Central America, Europe, North America and North Africa. Often very tall, with spiralled branches bearing flattened, linear leaves. The seed-cones stand upright on the branches unlike Spruces which have pendulous cones. Young cones are very eye-catching, ranging in colours from white, green, blueish violet and a purple red.

Abies cephalonica 'Meyer's Dwarf' is an evergreen Greek Fir with low spreading stiff dark green needles with shades of yellow adding great colour and texture to any garden. This is an underrated little gem and would be ideal for the smaller garden or great in a mixed border. Hand grafted and propagated at Lime Cross Nursery.
Soil Type: Acid, alkaline, heavy clay, light sandy, normal.
Aspect: Full sun.
Foliage Type: Evergreen.
Foliage Colour: Dark green/yellow needles.
Pot Size: 3 litre.
Ultimate Height: 30 - 60cm.
